The Saturday Keauhou Farmers Market, located in the Keauhou Shopping Center, was established by the Kona County Farm Bureau. The Market provides an opportunity for about thirty farmers/vendors to offer agriculture products grown on the Island of Hawaii directly to the community.

In addition, on the last Saturday of each month we present our Keauhou Farmers Market Farmer-Chef Program. The Program combines a presentation by a local chef demonstrating the preparation of a recipe using a locally produced agricultural product with the farmer sharing how and where the product was grown/produced.

This Program, funded by a grant from the USDA's Farmers Market Promotion Program, is intended to enhance the community's knowledge of locally-grown agricultural products and to celebrate our local chefs. In addition, through this project, we are working to connect Island farmers directly with chefs and restaurateurs as a way of expanding and celebrating the diversity of local agricultural products available to the community on the Island of Hawaii.
